Got a correction, a broken link, or something on this site that's out of date? We want to hear about it.

How to reach us

We don't run a public email inbox for this site — honestly, it would just fill with spam. The best way to flag an issue is through the on-site discussion and report features: leave a note on the relevant page and we'll see it.

What to send us

  • Corrections — a phone number that changed, a procedure that's different now, a page that's wrong. Tell us what's wrong and what it should say, and where you saw the correct info.
  • Broken links — if a link on this site goes nowhere, tell us which page it's on.
  • Suggestions — a SAPS citizen service we haven't covered that you think we should.

How we handle your message

We read everything that comes through the on-site reporting tools. Corrections with a source get priority — if you tell us a number changed and link to the SAPS page showing the new one, we'll update fast. Vague reports ("this page is wrong") take longer because we have to re-verify from scratch, so the more specific you are, the quicker we can fix it.

We can't reply to every report individually, but we do act on them. If you check back in a few days, the fix should be live.

A note on response times

This is a small independent site, not a call centre. We aim to review reports within a few days. If something is urgent — say, a wrong emergency number on a page — mark it clearly as urgent and we'll jump on it first.

What we can't help with

We're an independent guide, not SAPS. We can't:

  • Check the status of your police clearance certificate application (contact the station where you applied).
  • Take crime reports or dispatch police (call 10111 in an emergency, or 08600 10111 for anonymous tip-offs).
  • Speed up any SAPS process.

For emergencies, call 10111. For anything official, go to saps.gov.za or visit your local police station.
