Privacy Policy
This page explains what information sapsza.com collects when you visit, and what we do with it. Short version: we collect as little as possible.
What we collect
- Basic visit data. Like most websites, our hosting platform logs standard technical information: pages visited, browser type, and approximate location derived from your IP address. We use this only to understand which pages are useful and to keep the site running.
- What you submit. If you leave a comment or report through the on-site discussion features, we store what you wrote so it can be displayed. Don't post personal details (ID numbers, phone numbers, addresses) in public comments — they're visible to everyone.
What we don't collect
We don't ask for your name, ID number, or contact details to read this site. We don't run accounts or logins. We never ask for payment.
Cookies
The site may use basic cookies for core functionality (remembering preferences, keeping the site working). We don't use cookies to build advertising profiles.
Third-party links
This site links to official third-party services — saps.gov.za, the Google Play Store, and Apple's App Store. When you click those links, their privacy policies apply, not ours.
Your rights
You have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you (for example, the content of a comment you posted) and to ask us to remove it. Use the on-site reporting tools to make such a request, and tell us which comment or submission it's about so we can find it.
Data retention
Visit logs are kept for as long as our hosting platform retains them for operational purposes — typically a limited period, after which they're automatically discarded. Comments and reports you submit stay visible on the site until removed, either by you (on request) or by us during routine moderation.
Children
This site is a general information resource not aimed at children. We don't knowingly collect information from children, and we ask that anyone under 18 doesn't post personal details in comments or reports.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update this page. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the updated policy.
